Dependent on the process and operating conditions, gas conditioning unit (GCU) modules can be added to the standard John Crane gas seal system to provide an integrated system that will further protect the gas seals. Each system incorporates appropriate design modules to provide maximum compressor reliability and performance during normal and transient conditions. These systems also comply with relevant safety and environment standards.

Air-cooled Heat Exchanger
Air-cooled heat exchangers may be applied when water is not available or required heat removal can be achieved with an air-cooled heat exchanger. Air-cooled heat exchangers are available in a range of finned tube designs, including electrically driven air blast models.
AUTOMATIC MAKE-UP UNIT
An alternative to a mobile refilling unit, an automatic make-up unit adds buffer or barrier fluid to multiple systems as required. API Plan 53B based packaged seal support systems can be designed and built incorporating the automatic make-up unit on a common skid.
